The definition of Ka (pronounced Kā) Williams is plain and simple. If you were to ask her who is she at her core, the answer would be the following: A daughter, a sister, an aunt, an author, and now a blogger. As long as she could remember, Ka wanted to become an attorney. Starting out as a pre-law major and eventually getting accepted into law school, circumstances made her walk away from her dreams – to instead go further into a corporate direction. While working , she realized that this was not her true calling. Following a broken heart, she took an interest in writing just to find clarity and understanding in what happened during the relationship and why it ended. After revealing that she had started writing her memoir to a few women whom she tutored, they encouraged her to keep going and not stop until she is published. She began writing everyday and to her amazement, she felt very comfortable at her laptop typing until the wee hours of the morning. Ka ultimately realized that writing is her true passion.
There is never a dull moment in the Williams’ household. Ka always has something on her plate. She recently moved back to her hometown from the Northeast. She completed her memoir and had it published. She owns and operates her own blog. Volunteerism has always meant a great deal to her. One of her favorite quotes is “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” Ka holds a Bachelor of Arts in public administration with pre-law emphasis and a Master of Business Administration with specialization in management. When Ka is not using writing as a means of catharsis, she can be found volunteering and tutoring women in the development of their business ideas and computer training.
Ka loves her family and those whom she calls friends beyond measure. She is single and has never been married, nor has she had any children. Though, it does not mean that she does not have children in her life. She is a god-mother to her niece and nephews. All three have even made a special appearance on her blog. Born and raised in the South, cooking is a big deal. While she loves Southern cuisine, she has been a vegetarian – not vegan- for almost thirty years. She has not had any meat on her plate (unless it is veggie meat) for a long time. Ka loves to spend her free time laughing, reminiscing and sharing old stories, traveling, and living a happy single life. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
