Well, despite the weather in some places, it is officially Spring. Spring is here! Grass is sprouting, birds and squirrels are coming out of their hiding places, and new buds are reborn and becoming fully bloomed flowers. My peach tree is already blooming. Rebirth and renewal always come to mind whenever I think of this time of the year. Not just a rebirth of nature but, a reset of life. After being inside for such a long time, our frame of mind lifts. For some, our mood transforms as well. This is due in part to the fact that we are able to get up and go outside and bask in the sun.
With Spring, comes a myriad of ways to regenerate. I have a few below:
Ever heard of the term ‘spring cleaning’? Sure you have. In any case, a great way to get your mind into the spirit of Spring is to start clearing away all of your winter items and replacing them with things for the new season. Things like your throw pillows, comforters, chotchkies, rugs etc. Your closets can also be tweaked. While I know that for a lot of people, snow boots and thermals are still required. There are ways to add a pop of color to all of your dark Winter wardrobe.
When the snow finally does subside and the warm weather really starts to set in, we will see males and females alike, get out and start to mingle. I can see it now – dining al fresco with your best gal pals and sitting at the next table over, a group of handsome males. Another scenario would be, meeting someone during Spring Break at a beach, bar, or nightclub. Either way, the warm weather always sends someone new into your world. It doesn’t have to be a relationship partner, it can simply be a new acquaintance – male or female.
Spirituality is also very important during this season. Easter is right around the corner. If you do not celebrate Easter, what are some of the ways to make yourself feel better? Discovering something we are grateful for and taking a positive approach for improving ourselves is a start. Meditation works wonders for the mind, body and spirit. I use meditation as a way to help with my hypertension.
As some of you can see, Spring has brought about a few changes to unhappilyneverafter.com I have modified the layout and promise to make a few other adjustments to the format. I have been noticing a few new followers. (Thank You For The Support). This is a relationship, fashion, and lifestyle blog that is meant to be a safe and positive place where we as women can respectfully come together and pass on our gifts of knowledge on how to live our own happily ever after. For those of you who are new to this site, this is a website based on a memoir. Working through my pain and successfully making it out on the other side, I decided to pass on some of my story in a book – Unhappily Never After. This website is a companion piece to the memoir. With that said, some of what I have shared and gone through in my book, will be topics/content discussed on this website. I aim to share what I have learned so that others will hopefully learn from my mistakes.
Please feel free to peruse the website and check out my new topics that I added under Single Living. In addition, I have added a book trailer to the book page and my new illustrations by the great – Anna Pino Ravelli. She is awesome!
I wish you all a healthy and sinus/allergy infection free Spring. If you are anything like me, don’t forget to load up on antihistamines (joke – but not really). I also wish you love and happiness. Thanks for visiting and please feel free to comment. I would love to hear your thoughts.
