Here’s How the Unattached Get Comfortable Living and Being On Our Own
This time of the year can cause a few of us a bit of loneliness and sadness. When it comes to having the holiday blues, some believe that those most affected are the ones who are no longer in relationships. With that, there are some misconceptions about single people. It is often assumed that individuals who are single, ought to be miserable, bitter and without a friend in the world. They envision us sitting in a corner rocking back and forth with a turkey leg in our hands crying about our lost loves. #howwrongcanyoube
There are a lot of unmarried people who are very content with being alone. It is usually the ones who are in relationships who equate being single with being lonesome – which is a reason why they so desperately hold on to someone they no longer love anymore. It is the fear of the unknown that stifles us. In this case, the unknown would be living a single life. I don’t believe that anyone would like to be single, but it happens to all of us at least once in our lifetime. It is not something to be feared. On the contrary, it should be something that we should embrace.
