Good Random Tuesday to you. I hope that everyone’s day is going well. I have been talking about Spring cleaning and what to wear this season. Though I haven’t touched upon what I do when I no longer want my old clothing. I usually give them to a church, to Good Will, or some sort of charitable organization. The reason this came to mind is that the recent tornadoes that ripped through the Midwest brought back some old memories. I have made mention that in 2011, my friends, neighbors, and family experienced the same fate – tornado destruction. A lot of people were only left with the clothes on their back. If it were not for individuals donating their old wardrobe to charities, a lot of people I know would not have had anything to wear. Not being preachy – it would be awesome if some would donate rather than to throw their old clothing in the trash. You never know who may be in need of them.
Another way to discard of things that you may no longer want is to invite friends over for a clothing swap. Your friends may have been eyeing some of your cool (not sure if this is the appropriate word these days – LOL) outfits for a while, and now you no longer want some of them. I am sure that your buddies would love to have a few items. If you run in a circle of equally stylish friends, you may not mind acquiring a few of their pieces as well. You can make a party out of it.
Either one you may decide to do, you do not have to throw your clothing in the trash. Besides, what is old to you can be something new and appreciated by someone else.
